ParticipantThis is such a far cry from the other splashy consumerly tea shops. The seriousness of the look must be reflecting Leo’s seriousness about tea quality, I guess. Such a fresh breath of air from the other shops that sell majorly Chinese tea. Perhaps because of Leo’s professional background? Congratulations and I must say I am truly impressed. I’ll now read through some of the oolongs and decide which to make my first purchase… 😉

ParticipantSeriously, a monk prefers drinking tea in a waterside pavilion in the company of a woman LOL

ParticipantIf you are using genuine fine teas, adding things to them covers the original delicate tastes so that’s wasting the tea. Some people say milk and sugar neutral down the anti-oxidative ability of tea so that is wasting the health benefits.

ParticipantI like this idea.

ParticipantSimilar quality and range as offered by this Lau Yu Fat are actually available in many smaller teashops throughout different neighborhoods in Hong Kong. Some maybe selling at lower prices. They are generally not in expensive malls as this one is, so they are much more difficult to locate fro tourists.

ParticipantThis is educational. I wish something like that had been discussed with my grandfather, he was in at least one of the wars.

ParticipantThanks for the answer. I needed some time to find out the different forms of iron in food before responding. Now I know about the idea of iron chelating. I think what you said is a very sensible way of thinking about green tea.
You are very correct also in saying there are a lot of interactions between different food that can be health problems for some people. -
