ParticipantIs shu puer a damp tea too?
ICE
ParticipantIt’s Tibetan, not Mongolian. They are two different languages used by two different peoples. They use yak, not cow’s milk to prepare the tea.

ParticipantThat scam was about sheng puer.

ParticipantI can understand why people like glass gaiwans, because I too was attracted by it when I first saw it years ago. The one that I bought was mostly used to hold paper clips before it broke.

Participant@Sofie1212, some shopkeepers allow their customers to test the pot properly before buying, but you have to know what you are doing well and ask permission first, because hitting a piece of ceramic for sound can mean breaking the piece, many would not allow any customers to do that. Trust would need to be established first.
However, if you are beginning, I think it is better to buy a few not so expensive ones and explore them in order to know more about the basics before advancing to such ideas as density.ICE
ParticipantReally interesting way of having jasmine green tea. I think I’ll try it with rock sugar, maybe I’ll boil the ginger with the sugar and dissolve the konjac powder in it. I’ll infuse the tea with a separate portion of water.

ParticipantThanks Leo. I guess so, just want reconfirmation from you.

ParticipantSo Leo are your Longjing selections tested for lead?

ParticipantIs Brita the one with a plastic jug and some filter part as the cover? I think that’s not really filtering out the germs and some of the heavy metal things. I use Aqua Pura but I am not too confident about it after reading about reverse osmosis. I am not sure about switching to that yet and Leo wrote about reverse osmosis is like distilled water, which is not good. I wish someone having used that can tell me more.

ParticipantI think to choose between two Japanese common teas kukicha and bancha, I’d much rather a bancha. However, I prefer to not waste the efforts in making a cup of tea over either of these. Life is short.
