I like the video links in the article about bottled water. I have learned a lot. I think installing a filter at home is a good idea, but when I typed in water filter in google, the result really is mind-buggling. Is there any recommendation or experience sharing with actual models?
I use a 3M DWS 2500T at home, which serves as my home office for tea tasting and sampling etc. The water is suppose to be free of germs and all contaminants. We are happy with it and I feel safe that my family get all our drinking water from it. The system is quite expensive, 1,000 US, but I think it is worth the investment.
This 3M filter looks very powerful. I wonder how my Panasonic compares. It costed about USD 120, and we have been using it for two years. I think the water tastes much better than before the filter and better than those drinking taps in the parks. Maybe it can still be better with a better filter like this 3M. I’d really love to taste the water from it.
Brita! Always rely on it.
Is Brita the one with a plastic jug and some filter part as the cover? I think that’s not really filtering out the germs and some of the heavy metal things. I use Aqua Pura but I am not too confident about it after reading about reverse osmosis. I am not sure about switching to that yet and Leo wrote about reverse osmosis is like distilled water, which is not good. I wish someone having used that can tell me more.
Perhaps we can call for a tasting for water from different filters!
