I agree with Hokusai. The cups look especially suspicious, like those one can get in some street side cheap curious hawker’s. Kyusu, and for that matter, any other teapots made with a simple, honest clay maybe what you want.
ICEParticipantI agree with Hokusai..Some fresh shengcha taste very nice and because of that you would drink a lot of it not knowingly and get tea drunk, and like me, a long lasting stomach upset..I was told astringent ones are much lower in price.
ICEParticipant@Siu P B, somehow I missed this discussion..This is very useful information..Thank you..Do you have a time yet for when you will be able to roll out the larger packs?
ICEParticipantBTW, the like button isn’t working.
ICEParticipantOf all the three things, larger pack size is what I want the most. I have tried too many other shops already and feel so fortunate that I am finally at home with your quality and selections. I don’t need anything else except larger packs so I don’t have to throw away so much packing materials.
ICEParticipantLeo mentioned in his writings about shengcha saying that in its new form, it is TCM cold and should not be consumed by the weak stomach. I had that experience before and I can tell you that it is true. I discussed about this with a friend who is a TCM doctor and she agrees. I think it is tempting for it is light and flavorful when infused lightly. The effect can be very bad. I had serious cramps following some friends going to Mainland China for a Shengcha tasting spree. Bad idea.
ICEParticipant@Betty, Leo discussed that issue before in another discussion. You were there too: https://www.teaguardian.com/dialogues/discussion/comment/2546#Comment_2546
ICEParticipantRemember to drink your tea well apart from medicine. They don’t mix. Strong tea should also be avoided. Recover soon.

I like that. Same to everyone in Tea Guardian and Tea Hong. -
