Not at all. You can get it by the pound in Chinese grocery stores for around 10 dollars. I got mine in a local Chinatown herbal shop coz I don’t need such a giant bagful. Paid two singles for a big heap which the man wrapped nicely in a square piece of paper. To my understanding and confirmed by the man in the store, this is the same thing as goji berries, except this is much cheaper. Obviously those trendy health food marketing and nice shop decoration are paid for out of the big difference in price.

    🙁

Sinister things like that never cease to happen as long as greed is unchecked in human nature.

I have not gotten around to try that since I read about it in the Longjing page. Will definitely let you know my verdict. Maybe a new teapot for the purpose first? Definitely.

I agree with you Bill! The glass gaiwan was not even half as easy to handle as the bone china gaiwan and it drips  :-S

This is a very good question! I have problems with sencha too! However, the same issues rarely happen with green tea since I switched to Longjing and drink it in the afternoon, following Leo’s recommendation in this link: https://www.teaguardian.com/what-is-tea/green-tea-taste-health-tips.html#.UpQJ1pHVof8

I don’t know about the puer you mentioned, but I use Menghai Spring exclusively now, and mostly after lunch and dinner. Make it in a Yixing pot and the taste fab!

I have never even thought of the idea of clay density when I buy a pot. Wouldn’t it be nice if the sellers are putting indication to the density so customers know? This maybe helpful for internet shops.

10 meters of tea bushes! How enviable! I failed even to grow one! Wish you success in making tea from them.
