That recipe using wolfberries seems cool. Anybody tried that? Is that thing expensive?
Not at all. You can get it by the pound in Chinese grocery stores for around 10 dollars. I got mine in a local Chinatown herbal shop coz I don’t need such a giant bagful. Paid two singles for a big heap which the man wrapped nicely in a square piece of paper. To my understanding and confirmed by the man in the store, this is the same thing as goji berries, except this is much cheaper. Obviously those trendy health food marketing and nice shop decoration are paid for out of the big difference in price.
I understand these can be high in pesticides. Better to get organic or from a reputable source if possible. “Dragon Herbs” Goji berries are very tasty – I recommend these!
Thank you to you both for the response. There seems to be a lot of things for me to explore. I have fancied venturing into one of those herbal places for a long time. I think I’ll do that tomorrow with this excuse now. That online shop seems very educational with all those product info too!
