Well, you can walk into any of the many teahouses or tearooms anytime for a pot of tea and a scone with jam to spend a whole afternoon there. That is a real British tea culture.

I think tea is part of life, not an adventure, unless if you think life is an adventure too

I bought Imperial Topaz from Tea Hong after seeing this post. It tastes very good. I like it but not as much as good Oriental Beauty.

I drink tea in the office and at home. Maybe 6 to 10 cups a day. When I go to coffee shop, I drink coffee. Maybe one cup a day, but not everyday. Tea in coffee shop usually is not good tea, so coffee is better choice in such occasion.

In summer morning, I prefer good bouquet style Phoenix oolong. In winter morning, I prefer good classic style Phoenix oolong or black tea. I like green tea better in the afternoon or late morning. I think this way better for my health

In my experience, good black tea can mature well, especially good Chinese black tea such as Qimen Hong Maofeng, Dianhong Golden, Jin Jun Mei etc. Storing is easy. Keep in air tight container no light coming through no moisture coming through.

Hello ICE, I am so very happy that you are willing to try my idea. I agree with you and what you said is exactly what I mean. For the same amount of money, I am getting a much more enjoyable matcha, except not exactly the same taste as matcha, but if you are open mind, it is a very good tea!

I just came back from China. The price of high quality white peony is now almost double than three years ago when I went. Aged white peony 4 years is approximately 30% higher. I personally like new one better, but one friend who went with me likes the aged one.
