You discussed this matured White Peony. If white tea can be matured like puer tea, does it rise in value — in taste and in price — like in puer tea? If so, why I can’t see other teashop selling matured white tea at higher price?

I just came back from China. The price of high quality white peony is now almost double than three years ago when I went. Aged white peony 4 years is approximately 30% higher. I personally like new one better, but one friend who went with me likes the aged one.

I have many Buy Mudan of 2008.

So I take it that it will last several more years.

Anybody know what goes into the cakes? I was told that green freshly picked white tea will not last, but what goes into making the cake?

I guess white tea can be matured, green tea not.
