As is well known, tea culture exists in many countries like China, Japan, India and the United Kingdom. But what exactly does it mean? It means the cultural features formed in the process of tea drinking activities. In Chinese culture, tea is an indispensable item and is mentioned in the seven necessities of daily life (i.e., firewood, rice, oil, salt, soysauce, vinegar, and tea). Besides, tea is always offered to guest upon arrival to one’s home representing the host’s hospitality. To the British, tea is of great importance because it is not only a beverage, but a meal, a supper, or a time of a day and tea is served in times of various celebrations in the UK. It is said that a cup of tea could solve all problems. Tea, as a beverage, as well as the way it is served, can be a window into the soul of a culture.

In my opinion, the highest level of tea culture relates to the culitivation of morality, just like the tea ceremony of China and Japan.
