I have already checked Amazon and found The Execution of Mayor Yin by Chen. I am looking forward to reading it. Thank you for the sharing. What happened back then must have caused a lot of people much sufferings and bad influences of the current culture.

In the late 60’s when I first heard about Cultural Revolution, I thought it was a good thing. It turned out to be a catastrophe for China and it was only a weapon for Mao for absolute control of the country. From my other reading, I know that much of good traditional values have been destroyed. How true is that in your own experience?

Just watched 1984. Never watched it before. Could this be like China during Cultural Revolution?

Imperial Golden Tip is the first puer tea that I can really like drinking. It changed my impression of what puer is. I think it is the quality that makes the difference. And I am discovering things everytime that parcel from Hong Kong arrives!

I make the tea with much longer time! Same about 250 ml water and 5 g tealeaves, but for 5 minutes. I like what I get from there — slightly sweet and full of wonderful tastes — in a simple old mug with an oversize infuser.

This will be very useful. It seems like one of your Christmas recipes without the tea and a lot more ginger. I have a question: do you peel the ginger? If you do, do you weigh it before peeling or after?

Does it mean pots that are thicker and squarish are more likely to be genuinely Yixing? So many round ones on the internet!

Agree. But I think Leo and and his team is a little different from other people in Hong Kong. I don’t have a lot of friends of Asian ancestry, but don’t you think such intelligent writing is great regardless of the writer’s original language?
