      HELLO!

Some time ago i  traveled to France.

i buyed a tea tin of twinings, a tea tin in cordon bleu and a tea tin in an tea store named “le empired thes thés”, all of them where black teas ( red): but i finded strange , they all have the same type of leaves ( half leave) and have prety the same flavor.
Do you think the buy to the same place?
In the tea house they said the buyed to china and blended it in the store.

I did my study by buying from different places and brands too. A lot of big brand name tea blends are really very cheap broken leaves from all different origins tasting roughly the same. Many put flavorings in them to force a difference. I was fascinated by all flavors and tried many, many, many tins. I was naive. That was many years ago when I began interested in tea. Now I know these broken leaves are all cheaply machine made from different countries.

Yes i knowed that they used often flavorings and that the leafs where not the best, but i thinked that high brands where a bit bether.

Twinnings for example is knowed trought the world but sadly i don”t find it so good.
I have gone to other tea houses there in france but even if they use natural ingredients, tea leaves are suspciously the same in the end: half a leave.

That’s what I mean too. Big brand names are no good. I have not been to France and don’t know what tea is available there, but judging from the many French brands and French style tea places here in Asia, they are not any better. All broken leaves tasting roughly the same and mixed with dried flowers, herbs or unbearable flavorings. Some make my nose painful.

French people love tea and have a lot of brands and tea houses. But the problem is as you say they generally use half leaves and in litle or big quantitys they use flavorings.

i don”t hate natural flavoring or best saying aromatic blending, but that is normally never made exept in selected teas that are made in litle quantitys.
