I have just recently came back from China, where a went to a puer tea shop. I tasted this puer and the lady asked me what i tasted. She then said it has a pine nut flavor. During my trip i have heard many people describing the taste, such as: hui gan, se, etc. My question should anyone tell me more about taste characteristics in tea and taste training. Thank you!
I often go to China because of my job. Never really listen to those sales ladies. Like Leo said, most of them don’t know what they are selling. You have to trust your own senses. I believe the more you carefully taste, the more you will learn from the tea itself. Leo has this very nice article that you should read:
I read it again from time to time
