It’s known as Xue Ya in China, is picked by hand approximately 1100 meters above sea level in Fujian province of Southeast China. Snow Buds are quite rare and can only be picked from a specific type of white tea plant three days of the year. Organic Snow Buds ( Xue Ya) is considered a new of white tea that was developed in the 1980’s using authentic Fujian white tea bushes according to a special process that involves nuances of white tea and green tea production. It’s clear infusion offers a fresh green flavor and aroma of roasted chestnut.
Tasting notes
As this varietal grows at a high elevation, it taste is fresh and light. The leaf aroma is vegetal; the taste is naturally sweet and clean. A refreshing tea, it is great as an afternoon beverage and it goes very well with food.
