Not so sure if there is any reliable Internet shop in China for good value green tea in English. Can you buy from a Chinese site? Biluo Chun from tai hu is not worth the dollar now. Buy from other production area.

@ Vaibhav, The first thing that concerns me after reading your post is that you are in India. I believe there would be some kind of high import tax for tea when you buy from overseas. However, I am not too sure what the situation is now, especially for consumer amount. Pls find it out and share with us.

As for an internet shop for reliable quality and good value, I think some other readers should have a stronger opinion in good recommendations. I am more connected with producers than retailers. I hope an answer will appear here soon.
Tran is right, Biluo Chuan from Tai Hu is way over-priced for the quality and some concerns about pollution in the area. I would not recommend it. Many other areas do produce great quality of the name at better value. If you want the best green teas from China, those from Sichuan are also highly commendable; such as Mengding Ganlu, my own favourite.

For what it is worth, this is where I tend to buy loose leaf Chinese tea:

It seems like they are a fairly big dealer, so they have to maintain a general level of quality and customer satisfaction, and they have a wide selection with pictures of the actual leaves, which is important in judging relative quality. I haven’t tried their Biluochun, but I have a bag of Longjing, and that is tasty. The green tea that I often prefer, though, is Kaihua Longding. 🙂

Kaihua Longding is indeed a very unique green tea, quite the opposite in taste profile than Mengding Ganlu, actually, it tells well your taste preference. Its production location is also perhaps  one of the most pristine area in Zhejiang, the green tea strong province of China.

This website actually introduced me to Kaihua Longding. I was interested after reading the description (which is also very accurate). When I initially got some Longding, I compared it side by side Zhuye Qing, Huangshan Maofeng, and Longjing. In my taste test, the Kaihua Longding won, and it is still my favorite. 🙂
