This is in agreement with many ancient writings. Never bring water to boiling point for making tea, although I think it is not wise when the water is not so safe, such as in China or India. For us in HK, I agree with Leo to use a good water filter for better purity and a kettle I can set temperature to 90C. I think you can do the same in US or UK or wherever you are, because although the water after processing is clean, the pipes or water tank or whatever between the water processing plant and your tap may not be 100% ideal.
