Tea bag is one way to sell broken leaves massively with the false perception of being a more economical product. People are buying the cost of packafging: not environmental friendly and originally not needed. Whole leaves or even near whole leaves are easy to clean in the teapot or mug or gaiwan. That is why there is no need for teabag if the right tea selection and the right tea ware. Better for environment, better for overall cost, better for taste, better for health. Most important thing: many materials used in teabags or similar things not good for health.
