I have seen one set up last year and failed miserably, that’s in Hong Kong. I don’t wanna disclose the name and the people behind it maybe angry. They have a small outlet in Central by the escalator, if you know the geography there. You can google that and their site is still up but no real business. Sorry I can’t give the link. They have a pretty looking site, but you see their product structure, pricing, and presentation are so amateurish they are bound to fail since set up.
I can give you links to a few successful ones in the U.S., they dun have great quality products, and the aesthetics are really stupid, but they appeal to the mass, at least for the U.S.:
I am planning to set up one. The market for internet shopping for tea is growing despite all other factors. But it’s not a one person game like putting up an auction in eBay. Do your business plan well. I suspect there should be business potential in the Philippines, if that’s where you are.
