ParticipantI like oolongs very much but I begin to feel that when drinking in large quantity, green and white teas are quite delicious too. Both are said to be good for health. Which one do you like better?Which variety?

ParticipantBetween the two I’m inclined to say green. Long’jing (if what I had was actually long’jing) at the top, though the April Mist Leo has is surprisingly versatile.

ParticipantI vote for white. White Peony Classic Floral from Tea Hong is my daily tea!

ParticipantI think more taste in green tea, also more choices of tasting styles. For example, Longjing tastes very good all the time but it is different taste than Gyokuro, or Huangshan Maofeng, or Luan Guapian. All these teas I like very much!

ParticipantI like to drink white tea sometimes, but I can’t drink a lot of it, or drink it on a daily basis. For some reason, it tastes too light to me, even though the white teas I drink are darker than the green teas. Anyways, I always end up coming back to green tea as the style that seems to do best for me. In general, green tea, pu’er tea, and the dancong wulongs seem to always make me feel refreshed and healthy after drinking them.
Despite the green tea general preference, I always keep oolong and pu’er tea handy in case I am feeling cold in any way. I am quite strict about not drinking green tea when I am feeling cold or sick in any way, unless the conditions are just right. For example, if the tea is very hot, then I may still drink green tea, but not if it is just at a normal temperature.

ParticipantSilver needle and good quality white peony can taste very good when steeped for enough time. I don’t have a lot of good experience with green tea, unless more expensive ones. Have not tried Leo’s Tea Hong green tea yet; because his oolongs and puers are too attractive for me to try other things yet.

ParticipantBetween white and green, I’d choose white. White Peony Classic Long is my favorite. However, I think the tea I drink the most now is classic Puer!

ParticipantI agree with pancakes that the temperature of the tea is important, particularly for green tea, and perhaps Silver Needle as well. Cold green tea can cause you sick sometimes. I am experimenting with Leo’s Mandarin Duck. It seems to be a flexible white tea for casual infusion, and can be used when I don’t feel like green tea and running out of darker oolongs.
