If you are a new business, getting into the major malls in HK is almost next to impossible. However, supermarkets and department stores can sometimes be on the outlook for great products. If you are confident enough, invest in a bit of packaging and lobbying and maybe preemptive marketing to get your name around to get into one of these. When you sell well and people talk, you can take that as a jump board.

The other way round it is to open a street shop/2nd floor shop to make a name. Creating your own traffic sometimes is worth a lot more effort than “licking the shoes” of those big shop employees!!!

Thank you for taking time to response to this question Mr Leo. I feel privileged. Sorry I was not aware of your answer until now. I should have click on the RSS feed to get updates. Please forgive my late thank you. I have already half-given up the idea of a real shop and researching about internet shop, but I’ll still do a bit of search on 2nd floor space.

      Thank you again!
