ParticipantTraditional Lapsang Souchong was smoked but now there are quite a number of members belonging to Lapsang Souchong family that aren’t smoked and made in the common black tea making ways including Jin Jun Mei, Yin Jun Mei and Chigan(while there are also smoked Chigan).
In fact, as now Chinese especially young people who don’t like the black tea with even a little smoky taste (partly because they are reluctant or have no opportunity to approach the authentic smoky Lapsang Souchong), now the annual output of the authentic smoky Lapsang Souchong was declining year by year. More and more producers shift to making unsmoked Souchong black tea using the common modern production method.

Hi I am sorry, I must say you are wrong. We showed the authentic smoky Lapsang Souchong of Tong Mu Guan to many Chinese people. Quite a lot of them are veteran tea drinkers. We are even suprised that most of them loved it very much and some of them even said they were the best black tea they ever had. We will publish an arctile on TeaSeek particularly introducing Tong Mu Guan soon and we will dispatch free Lapsang Souchong of Tong Mu Guan( free tea and free shipment) on it with an theme” Amazing Chinese Tea” within this year.

ParticipantHow can I get a sample of this Lapsang Souchong of Tong Mu Guan? Is there someone marketing it (selling it at wholesale) in the U.S. Also, I am interested in learning more about the history and evolution of this tea which we call Lapsang Souchong in the U.S. Thank you. My email address is mokaman1@embarqmail.com. My name is Dave Greene. Thank you.
